Leadership and Career

Career and Experiences

Sooner or later, your student will be faced with the question, "So what are you doing after college?" Most students come to college to prepare for a career and will face this question in the latter part of their time here. However, we help students start preparing their answers during their first term on campus. For example, the University Career Center connects students with jobs and internships during their time at the UO, to help them explore what they want to do after college.

Holden Center for Leadership and Community Engagement

Every student has the potential to be a great leader. If your student is interested in exploring what that looks like for them, or wants to get involved in service on campus or in the community, we have opportunities for them. The Holden Center offers an array of experiences from LeaderShape to Days of Service for students to learn about leadership and service alongside their peers.

Clubs and Organizations

The opportunities for involvement on campus are nearly limitless. Whether your student is interested in a club or wants to join a fraternity or sorority, they have options. The Associated Students of the UO (ASUO) sponsors more than 250 student groups across campus, all focused on topics and activities students are interested in. If your student doesn't see a club or organization that interests them, they can grab some friends and start a new one.
